5. that his waist that is almost as big as jack's, might be bigger maybe i'll go measure
6. his chubby arms reaching out for me when wants to be held
7. when he buries his head in my shoulder when he being shy or tired
8. that he doesn't nurse to sleep, he likes to play with faces or lips as he drifts off
9. that he can out eat jack
10. when he gets so excited to see jack wake up from his nap or when daddy gets home from work
11. when he sees jack going after something and he starts running to try to beat him (nate's fast, but not that fast yet, he'll be able to keep up with his big brother soon enough)
12. when he knows hes going somewhere he shouldn't (like the bathroom) he runs and laughs with a big smile on his face and then stands there waiting for someone to come running after him before he actually gets into anything!
13. his sweet laugh when we are doing something silly
14. his cute little dance anytime he hears music, he just starts bouncing from the belly up
15. when he says oh, oh, oh like he's making an important contribution to our conversation
16. his dark chocolate brown eyes
17. when he empties out the tupperware cupboards chucking everything directly behind him, an almost daily occurrence
18. that he is an expert at the stairs
19. that he got all front 8 teeth at once, they are so cute when he smiles (plus we got a nice break from teething for 4 months, now the molars are coming)
20. that he is GREAT in the car!

the joys of baby nate

we love his fat legs and feet!

we are still battling thrush and nate got a hold of the q-tips we've been using to scrub his mouth and dumped the big costco size box all over the floor. between the 2 boys the q-tips were spread throughout the house!

doesn't every baby have a picture playing in the dishwasher?? i can only do the dishes during nate's nap or if daddy is home to help distract. nate darts over to the dishwasher if he catches a glimpse of it opening and even if i'm just standing at the sink he comes over anticipating the dishwasher to open!

the boys LOVE playing with my cheap plastic whisk. its a great toy.

he got the whisk stuck on his foot and walked around for at least 5 minutes like that. i think he liked the sound it was making!

popsicle face

this is the typical face of jack after eating a popsicle. he is OCD and used to freak out a little (or a lot) if he got some on his face. he's loosened up a little and decided it's worth the yummy popsicle taste, but does have us wash him up immediately when he's finished!

cox farms

yesterday we went to cox farms for joyschool/playgroup. my camera died (don't worry, i won't let it happen again! we've got extra batteries on order) after the first few minutes of being there, so i missed all of the fun shots of the big slides, animals and hayride! the kids had a blast and i have to admit that i want to go back again to go down the slides! they were awesome! you can check them out at coxfarms.com. nate loved to chew on the hay, but jack didn't like it touching him. jack got used to it after a few minutes and started climbing around!

brother entertainment

these 2 can entertain each other (and us) for hours! jack LOVES playing with nate now that he is mobile! it is really cute to see nate follow jack around and want to play with the same exact toy (nate wants to be just like his older bro). sometimes it works out and they giggle and have a good ol' time and sometimes we have to intervene!

puzzle mania

jack has been going crazy with puzzles lately. he can do the fire truck and the alphabet train on his own, but needs a little help with harder ones. he doesn't like my help though, so i gently guide him in the right direction. he will take it apart if anyone puts a piece in that he didn't do! they were doing puzzles in nursery on sunday and his leaders couldn't believe how good he was with them!! jack may not like sitting down to color, but he sure loves his puzzles!
