vampire
we currently have a vampire living with us. although cute and bald, he's got vampire teeth. well, it just looks that way. aj got his laterals about a month ago and still doesn't have his front tops. it's been hard to get a good pic. you might have to click on the pic so you can see it big in order to really see those fangs!

BLW (baby led weaning)

if you look close you can see aj's first 2 little teeth coming in

we are loving this philosophy of no baby food. aj is so happy to feed himself and play with his food. i'm so happy that i don't have to spoon feed. so it's a win win for all. it is a little messy which is a little hard on the OCD, but kids are great therapy!! blw is the way to go. if you haven't heard of it, you can borrow my book (if you live close), you can buy it from amazon or read about it from wikipedia. with jack spoon feeding baby foor was torture on us all. when nate came along, i avoided it like the plague(and felt guilty for it) giving him table food when he wanted it. now i can feel good about feeding my baby table food and not worrying about whether he's getting too much or not enough. aj loves all kinds of fruits and veggies, homemade bread, toast, chicken, you name it. as long as its stick shaped so its easy for him to pick up, he will explore, gnaw on, smush, drop, chew and sometimes swallow. it has been a lot of fun watching him explore foods. the boys have especially loved watching him and aj of course is so happy to be a part of family meals.
